The Garmin StreetPilot c320 has been designed for in-car navigation from start to finish. It closely resembles the Tom Tom Go in looks, but with sleeker lines. With a simple touch screen interface, automatic route calculation to any destination, and turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions, the StreetPilot c320 is pretty much idiot proof.

Garmin has designed the "c-series" of car navigation units to be as simple and easy-to-use as possible, focusing on basic navigation instead of overloading it with features one would rarely, if ever, use.

Features

Screen - The c320's bright, 3.5-inch diagonal, 16-bit color display makes navigation easier, especially on bright days

SD Slot - found on the left hand side, rather than at the front on the Tom Tom

Mini USB connector - right hand side with power button and analogue volume wheel for adjusting the volume as ambient noise levels change, or as the music on your car stereo gets louder.

Maps - Garmin supplies a 256MB SD card with maps pre-loaded. The supplied CD includes maps for most of Western Europe, so if you did want to go on a European touring holiday, you could just load up the relevant maps.

Battery - has a built-in battery, with no signs of dying after a 5 hour test journey. An internal battery means you don’t need to have a wire trailing to the cigarette lighter in your car, making the positioning of the device more flexible.

In box - includes vehicle suction cup mount w/integrated power cable, PC/USB interface cable, 128 MB SD memory card, and setup guide. Also, Americas Recreational Basemap and MapSource City Select North America CD with full unlock.

Overall

Garmin has created a device with some truly excellent features, but without a few basics if purchased outside the USA. The user interface is a bit convoluted and the hardwired cradle isnt the best option.

But overall, a great GPS navigation option.
